This isn’t something I shout from the rooftops, but I’m actually a pretty retiring individual. I know I seem like the kinda guy who’s happy to do whatever but the truth is I’m kinda awkward and have to pound 3 cappuccinos to get to a “normal” state (whatever that is…).

Does this happen where you live?

So… yes. I lied. Here’s a comic!

The sad truth is that I haven’t left the house much recently. A combination of masses of study and having no money means I’m almost guaranteed to pass summer school, yet makes for lousy, uninteresting rants. It also means I have masses of time to not play video games at all make comics!

Internerds, please forgive me. As of last week I have been attending Summer School to help me complete my degree (finally!). As it is such an intense course, I have not been able to do comics. This state of affairs will persist till the 5th of February, when my course is completed. I will try to post something for your amusement in the meantime. Once again, my apologies to you, fellow internerds.

How many times has this happened to you?

There’s this awesome idea. You can practically taste how awesome it is – the shimmering brilliance of it practically leaking from your ears. But they don’t get it, y’know? They. Just. Don’t. Get it.

But don’t give up yet! It may take 2 (or 3) cappuccinos to get them up to your level, but when they’re there, magic happens.

Late night conversations tend to be the best, am I right?

Okay guys, how to put this delicately… It’s now the holidays, we’ve all been working hard recently and maybe it’s time to let off some steam with a few… beverages. Sure. I get it. But please please please remember that other people are still working.

Avery merry Christmas to those who celebrate it! To those who don’t, allow me to repeat myself by saying “it’s cool, feel free to celebrate other things!”. Personally, this time of year is when I like to catch up with people I haven’t seen for a while. Unfortunately, my currant form of employment these days has me running around like… like… like a man on the internet looking for a suitable metaphor. So I  find mesself caught between working weird hours and hanging out with awesome people. Very little down time is the consequence.

I’d love to  be working in a position where I have more regular-ish hours, meaning I can plan out what I’m doing. This’d mean better comic making schedule (not that we have one) and just more productivity all the way round.

This festive season, that’s what I’m asking for. If you or someone you know needs a freelance cartoonist/illustrator/marketer/coffee-fetcher, feel free to drop me a line: cj (at) zero-effort (dot) com is where to send the good stuff!

Hey, do you know about Movember?

I can’t grow a good mo. In my head I look all Johnny Depp – in reality its more of a Dirty Sanchez. It also grows very slowly.

Do you like the new site layout? I’m still tweaking bits n pieces, but overall it’s coming together nicely. It’s also 20 times faster uploading a comic!

Please feel free to poke around and let me know if you notice any problems – broken links, images not loading, undead zombie pixels – the usual.

Just one thing before you move on. The next few weeks are gonna be all kinds of crazy. It’s okay, they’ll be the running-massive-end-of-year-corporate-xmas-party-function-money-filling-my-pocket kind of crazy. We like that kind of crazy. Just be aware that’ll it’ll play merry hell with the regular posting of content.
